Career services in Estonia . This brocure gives an overview about career services in Estonia in present. There is also a historical timeline of career services during 10 years (1998-2008) when services are provided in Estonia. Publication is in English.

This publication is targeted to all specialists who have contacts with youngsters and their parents who are in the middle of process of career planning and choosing profession. Book helps to rise career-specialists awareness of different possibilities to make cooperation with parents. Available only in Estonian.

Career services in Estonia in 2007 gives an overview of career guidance and -services field in Estonia. Issues that are covered: target groups, problems of providing service, qualifications, financing, quality assurance, creating and spreading career information and legislation. Available only in Estonian.

Study in Europe 2008 is targeted to youngsters and other persons who are interested in mobility opportunities and distractions that can appear when one is planning to study abroad. Publication also introduces working issue as one alternative to fund studies. There is also an overview of tendences of Estonians mobility. Available in Estonian only. 

Education, labour market and career guidance in Estonia in 2006. This publication is an overview of Estonian education, labourmarket and current situation in career guidance in Estonia. Last chapter is about developments in career guidance- national ESF project to improve quality in guidance and European Joint Actions project for establishment of national guidance forums. There is also written about service provision, target groups and qualification and training of guidance personell. Publication is in English. 

From school to work. Education and labour market in Estonia in 2007. First chapter is about general-, vocational-, higher educaton, students with special needs, adult training and allowances. Second chapter gives an overview of labour market situation (unemployment, international perpspectives, forecasts etc). The last part of publication looks at relations between education and labour market. 

Challenges for Career Guidance in Small States  2006  (study by Ronald G. Sultana) carried out within the context of the MEDSUI Joint Actions project, challenges the view that small states are simply scaled down versions of larger ones. The study goes further by proposing that the whole notion of career may need to be considered differently in a small state context. The monograph is divided into four sections: methodology used in the study, definition and characteristics of small states, literature on small states in various fields that are related to career guidance, and conclusions concerning the specificity of the challenges for career guidance in small states. Publication is also available in Estonian.

Collaboration in the Provision of Career Guidance Services  2006 introduces case studies of co-operation among career guidance providers, stakeholders and various partners as mapped and submitted by 6 different European countries. All initiatives are described within a similar framework of topics – the context, goals, partners, description and challenges of co-operation, partnership related outcomes and impact on policy. The publication is aimed at everyone interested in the development of career guidance services and in reviewing related initiatives in other countries. This compendium has been produced within the framework of the EU Joint Actions programme, and is one of the outputs of the project called MEDSUI – Developing National Fora for Guidance in Six Member States – Malta, Estonia, Denmark, Slovenia, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Publication is also available in Estonian.

Learning by leaving 2006. Placements abroad as a didactical tool in the context of vocational education and training in Europe is based on a PhD thesis of a Danish expert on education Søren Kristensen. The book analyses learning processes which are related to placements abroad. The author tries to create a reliable theoretical framework to move on from the best practice to the elaboration of a specific pedagogy of the placements abroad. Available in Estonian only.

Career Information Guide - how to create and mediate information about education, labour market and professions 2005. The aim of the publication is to support practitioners who work daily with career information, and to enhance the quality of their information seeking. It provides an overview of the information retrieval process and various means for performing it, information seeking methods and strategies, principles of establishing a career library, content and format design of a web site and the management of a web project. Available in Estonian only.
