Academia 2010 in Estonia
This year's visit to Estonia took place from April 19 - 23. The programme took place in Tallinn, but the group visited also places in central Estonia like Rapla town and Särevere village. In Särevere village situates one part of Järva Vocational Training Centre. Also the group spent a day in the univercity town Tartu in south-east of Estonia. The overall theme was Career Education in Estonia. The week consisted of 26 hours of lectures, site visits and discussions dealing with the following themes:
- Career education in vocational and general schools;
- Cross-curricular themes in new national curricula for basic school and gymnasium ;
- Career counselling and information provision in youth information and counselling centres and in employment offices;
- Education system and labour market in Estonia.
In addition, career education methods used in Estonia, Denmark, Finland, France and Spain were introduced by the participants.
