The programme for promoting vocational education (VET)
The main purpose of the programme was raising Estonians´ awareness about the opportunities of vocational training.
The sub goals were the following:
- raising the students’ awareness about the opportunities of vocational training;
- developing and implementing a system for the Estonian championships of vocational training and the accompanying notification scheme;
- increasing the participants’ readiness of collecting and administering the information on the field of vocational education system.

The mainactivities under the programme for promoting VET were the following: organising domestic Youth Skills Competitions, publishing the newsletter, and producing a publication Abiks otsustajale (www.rajaleidja.ee/abiksotsustajale) in cooperation with the Refernet Estonia to introduce the opportunities of vocational training, and organizing communication training for the personnel of the VET schools.
The programme for promoting VET was financed by European Social Fund.
