Youth Skills Competitions
As of 2006 Foundation Innove is coordinating Youth Skills competitions in Estonia and there are 2 main objectives:
- develop the domestic Youth Skills Competition system, accordance with international standards and practice
- participate in international Youth Skills Competitions (WorldSkills, EuroSkills)
Foundation Innove represents Estonia in the international organisation WorldSkills since the year 2007.
Foundation Innove is a member of European Skills Promotion Organisation (ESPO). ESPO will focus on the organisation of the bi-annual EuroSkills event, the development and support of skills competition activities in member countries and the promotion of European Skills activities.
Estonian teams have participated in both international competitions, in 2007 WorldSkills in Japan and in 2008 EuroSkills in Holland.
EuroSkills 2008 was especially successful for Estonian team as two medals were brought home: silver in wall and floor tiling and bronze in bricklaying.
