The PISA 2018 main domain of assessment is reading literacy – how well our 15-year-old students understand written texts and how efficiently they can use these texts. More than 80 countries and economic regions take part in PISA 2018.

Testing period in Estonian schools was from April 9th to May 11th, 2018. Estonian sample consisted of 232 schools and approximately 7500 students. The study involved students born in 2002, most of them studying in grade 9.
In addition to reading literacy, students were also assessed in Science and Mathematics. Estonia also particpated in the financial literacy option.
